Canadian Animal Assistance Team (CAAT)
The Canadian Animal Assistance Team (CAAT) is dedicated to assisting communities that want to make a difference in their animal health care and population control and that have little or no access to veterinary care. Our team organizes animal health clinics that include sterilization surgeries as well as vaccinating and deworming for the animals in the community. We offer a humane alternative to controlling the dog and cat overpopulation issues as well as provide preventative health care to keep the animals we have sterilized healthier.
We are keenly aware that education is one of the most important elements of a comprehensive population management program. Our animal health clinics include teaching the children about dog bite prevention, animal welfare and empathy for the animals as well as teaching the adults and encouraging a greater responsibility amongst the community members for animal population control and welfare.
As an organization, we believe in long-term commitments and work with communities that are willing to partner with us and are also committed to making a change in the animal health and population control in their community. CAAT is a registered Canadian charity and relies solely on donations to fund the work we do. If you are interested in joining our mission, would like to make a donation, or are interested in more information, please go to our website at www.caat-canada.org or call 1-888-500-3330.
